Fair Usage Policy

MedScriptAI uses an internal AI usage system to ensure reliable, high-quality service for all users. This policy explains how usage works without exposing technical details.

1. Internal Usage System

MedScriptAI does not expose credits, tokens, or usage counters to users. Instead, we use an internal system that tracks your AI usage behind the scenes. You see a friendly progress bar and status indicator that shows your remaining usage at a glance.

2. Why We Use an Internal System

  • Simplicity: You focus on learning, not counting credits or tokens.
  • Fairness: An internal system prevents abuse and ensures resources are available for all students.
  • Reliability: By managing usage internally, we can maintain fast response times and consistent quality.
  • Transparency: You always know your usage status through a visual progress bar and friendly labels.

3. How Usage Works

Each AI module uses a different amount of internal resources. More complex modules (like Image Interpretation) use more resources than simpler ones (like AI Tutor). This is reflected in how quickly your usage bar fills up, but the specific amounts are managed internally.

4. Plan-Based Usage

Your plan determines how much monthly usage you have:

  • Free: Limited usage for AI Tutor and Smart MCQs
  • Basic: Higher usage for AI Tutor and Smart MCQs
  • Pro: Full access to all modules with moderate usage
  • Universal: Full access with the highest monthly usage

5. Top-Ups

If you run low on usage during a billing period, you can purchase top-ups. Top-ups add to your current usage but do not unlock locked features. For example, a Basic plan user who buys a top-up still does not get access to Image Interpretation — that requires upgrading to Pro or Universal.

6. Monthly Reset

Your usage resets at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused usage does not carry over to the next period.

7. Usage Status Indicators

You will see friendly status indicators that help you understand your usage at a glance:

  • Plenty of usage available — You are well within your plan's limits
  • Moderate usage remaining — You have used about half your monthly usage
  • Running low — Consider a top-up or plan upgrade
  • Limit reached — You need a top-up or plan upgrade to continue

8. AI Processing Priority

Universal plan subscribers receive priority AI processing, meaning their requests are handled first during periods of high demand. This does not affect the quality of responses for other plans — only the order in which they are processed.

9. Abuse Prevention

MedScriptAI reserves the right to limit usage for accounts that exhibit patterns of excessive or abusive use. This ensures fair access for all students.
